A few days before Christmas 1995, in the London suburb of Mayfair, David Mac Callum approached two 15-year-old schoolchildren and suggested that they return home to listen to heavy metal. The two teenagers, Michael Earridge and Stephen Cullan, addicted to this music, accept the invitation and follow this new friend, a few years older than the older one.
Once there, Michael and Stephen discover that David lives in an indescribable mess where Iron Maiden and Metallica record discs that rub shoulders with a mountain of books, all dedicated to serial killer Charles Manson. In the center of the room there is an altar covered in black and adorned at each end with burning candles.
For his guests, somewhat surprised, Mac Callum explains in a peaceful tone:
"This altar is from Satan. My friend Dennis and I devote ourselves devoutly to a true cult. It allows us to communicate with the dead through the Ouija. "
With a smile on his face, he points to the game board at the foot of the altar and offers to play a game of Ouija. Intrigued, Michael and Stephen agree.
When Dennis arrived, the four young men sat on the ground around the Ouija plateau and, according to custom, each put a hand on the moving triangle in the center of the game. Almost immediately, the strangely husky voice of Mac Callum broke the silence:
"Satan, if you are among us, give us your orders! Dictate your will! Satan, what do you want me to do? "
Mac Callum stood up suddenly, grabbed young Michael with his arm and tossed him onto the bed where he pinned him. Then, with a combat knife in his hand, he savagely stabbed his victim. Eleven times, the long sharp blade hits the body of the unfortunate child.
Dennis, who struggles to keep Stephen screaming in fear, finally screams at Mac Callum:
"Stop, David, but stop! Is dead".
In a start, Stephen manages to clear and escapes with all his legs.
Standing alone, David and Dennis wrap the corpse in a sheet and blanket. They have decided to transport it in the trunk of their car and pour it into a landfill.
A short time later, arrested for the indications given by the survivor of the murder, it turned out that the two devotees of Satan were already the object of a double psychiatric and police investigation.
During his appearance in court, David explained that the voices transmitted by the Ouija had incited him to commit his crime. The judges locked him for life in Broadmoor's maximum security prison. Sentenced his accomplice to ten years in a psychiatric institution.
