Paypal Files Patent for Expedited Cryptocurrency Transaction System
The PayPal service is looking for ways to increase your cryptomeni payments. This follows from the newly filed patent application.
The patent application for a "fast system of virtual currency transactions," which was published on March 1 by the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), details how private keys are - the number and letters strings that control and validate the ownership of cryptos , against the background of the transaction transferred from the buyer to the seller.
Secondary wallets
The goal of the concept proposed by the company is to shorten the time needed to transfer payments between the consumer and the merchant, bypassing the process of sending a transaction and waiting for the next block in the network. For this purpose, PayPal has proposed a way to create secondary wallets with their own unique private keys for buyers and sellers. The system should then be able to carry keys corresponding to the exact amount of any given cryptomenias.
The application shall state:
"The described system and transaction metrics significantly eliminate the time that the payee has to spend waiting to make sure the payment went through."
context
It is noteworthy that the application comes after PayPal announced in 2014 a collaboration with several payment processors enabling merchants to receive payments in Bitcoine and other cryptos.
The co-founder of PayPal Peter Thiel is also said to be a strong investor in cryptomeni through the Founders Fund.
Cryptoplatges with consumer protection?
PayPal, which is currently the most popular payment processor, is not interested in virtual currency. Application of these new technologies in their system would be a huge leap in the use of cryptomenias. Certainly it would also mean a significant increase in their value. Not only the factual but also the overall moral status. PayPal has made its popularity on consumer protection. If the same principle were able to transfer to payments with virtual currency, their use and confidence in such a way of repaying goods and services would likely multiply. Many reasons for criticism would lose the justification.
