Even if you love some series, it is possible that they will get in the future with the point where the fans are getting a little tired because they have no place to move anymore. Originally, I did not want to go to Forza Horizon this year. The previous part brought a great world, huge possibilities, the dynamics of the weather and the game time at an excellent level, but especially very well enjoyed. I have not seen the way the game could move even further to make me feel fresh again and not just as an extension of the previous one. Gamescom, however, showed me this year how very wrong I was. Playground Games once again managed to overcome their previous work.
If I had to really evaluate it very briefly, Forza Horizon 4 is bigger, better and richer in virtually every direction. You do not even have to dive into the game to get you covered with news. Just try the demo (available on both Xbox and PC) and even if it does not offer so much, you can clearly see that it is another game and again it can really surprise you. It is also quite difficult to decide what is actually the biggest novelty of the game. Whether it's a new online system with servers for up to 72 players per single, new online Adventure option, or dynamic seasons.
It probably depends on which part of the game ultimately breaks you off, but can not be separated from each other. And that's true of the whole game, which is actually one great-looking machine where everything works together, and even the online multiplayer and single-player can not separate as they are virtually running at once and are always on one click. But we'll still get it all. If you played the demo, you know that it has offered a cross-section of the season that the game offers. This time you go to the UK, which is not so interesting on the paper, but it's exactly the opposite in reality.
The landscape is really big and varied in the game. You have coasts with sandy beaches, there are also high hills in the Scottish Highlands. They do not leave flats, forests, lakes, and this ensures that this game is not richly divided in the horizontal plane, but also vertically, where it is really a big difference compared to the predecessor. The map is more rugged than before, and in some places you do not even rip off without a good car. All this is picked up from fictitious and real sites that are pressed into the game world so the game just gives it an experience. Here you can enjoy views of the Glenfinnan viaduct, the Scott Monument, the Edinburgh Castle, or the high speed of the Royal Mile. If you have ever been Edinburgh, you will appreciate its processing, even though, of course, it did not get full size.
In addition, the landscape changes every week, but it will take a while to reach it. The introduction of the game exactly copies the demo and tells you what the next hundred hours will be. Right from the start, you will sit behind the finest McLaren Senna's steering wheel, but you will also be driving in three other cars, bringing you the game at all four seasons, while introducing you to a career. And it will be a little too late for you to open that day so the game does not fit all your options at once. Even so, one icon will appear on the map until you know where to jump.
Last time, we were the director of the Horizon Festival itself, but now it's gone. You are the upcoming racing star on this motorsport celebration, which brings with you some new options that will gradually open up to you. You will find that the game really has grown in the area of content and there are many more activities that will gradually take care of the game content. Of course, it is still the famous spectacle, which is accompanied by fireworks every night and accompanied by a pompous presentation. But besides all this, there is much more, and things outside the festival.
I appreciate this gradual and, above all, natural discovery of the world and the tasks. It takes a few hours to reach the complete offer of what the game will allow you later. I do not think you will have all the content in a few hours. But wait a while for your world to open and synchronize with another player. You will also wait for Forzathon to open until you get to the Showcase event, for example, when you get an offer to ride in the story missions on commonly-available cars for a well-known youtube.
Forza Horizon 4 has 26 lines in its Horizon Life campaign and you level up playing as your own profile as well as the profile of each of these "disciplines". This is mainly your influence, as it influences you further. The overall impact will be ensured by new bracelets and access to Showcase events and championships, the impact of individual campaigns will move you to more challenging races. In addition, by leveling, you also get bonuses - cars, clothes, money, and so on. The core is the classic racing race, cross country, drifting, drag racing and more. But there are more - you become a stuntman, miss Danger challenges, speed and merits, even one of the campaigns is also aimed at streaming through the Mixer. You choose what you are interested in and what you will focus on.
However, there is something missing here. Something I liked in previous games and it's not here. You can not find any of the unique cars in the game, which is a bit of a shame. And you do not even find the Bucket Letter, which brought the next form of challenge to the game. All the more when you could create Bucket Leaves yourself for other players. In some form, it is still there. When you get to the race on the map, you can choose whether to play them as planned by developers, create your own (the track remains, but you can change the season, time and cars) or download races from other players. The advantage is that if you have a taste, so in summer you can also ride in winter. Still it's not Bucket sheet itself, where you've also picked track and music. However, Route Creator itself should be added to the game just after the release.
Forza Horizon is again about your experience, and while it's a shame that the author has not been able to incorporate this feature into the game right now, the game now offers really good ways to adapt the game experience to your own taste, taste and mood. Besides, there are things you can not move with. And that's what you're waiting for. Showcase events are even more crazy, and you're in the hurry for the first time, followed by Flying Scott, and even a great showcase with the Halo theme, where you are driving Master Wief in Warthog and being accompanied by Cortana. Even the world will change to the Halo Ring. Excellent news is that Gauntlet is coming back and more challenging and long races. You really enjoy one long ride across the 25 km track, where Drivatari breathing on your back.
They are once again taking care of artificial intelligence, so when you're real driving in the races, there are cars with your friends' names, so you do not seem to drive with AI. And in addition, Drivatari has been well tuned for years, so it does not fit on rails just as it is in some other games. They make mistakes, they do not want to let themselves be rolled up or drag themselves into the collision. You will find less in the world, as there are other ghost players on the prologue (so they can not "troll" and spoil you). You can interact with them quickly, invite them to a race, invite them to a common convoy, and so on. They do not have fast chat options with default responses. The world makes them alive, but it still has something to do with it, whether it's a normal traffic or the animals you find here. Only those pedestrians are still missing.
There are other very interesting options for this, but they have not been able to show up in the review. Since there are 72 players on a single server, the pool is so large that you can get somebody to get together, and you do not have to drive around the map. In all races, you have the option to run them in Solo, Cooperative, Versus, or Rival (Time Comparison). And it's still within my own single-player career, so I've already written that there's a multiplayer just a click away from you. Or, if you want to search for them, later on, you'll be able to access stunning sites directly on the map, where you can hunt in modes like Infected, King, and more.
If you want something bigger, there's a new Team Adventure mode that adds something to the multiplayer and smaller "match" to groups of players when you go along with more to fulfill your assigned tasks in a series of events or races. Additionally, as in a campaign, it can be scored in many ways. The authors have worked to make it possible for each player to contribute, even if they are not the best riders. You play together, help each other, and so on. At first, you have to complete ten fast games in this mode to access the Ranked races. It is about losing to the leagues and getting the highest possible prizes for them. Do not miss the possibilities of private games, you can search for players and teams and create teams yourself.
In addition, the already mentioned Forzathon came back, a series of challenges that changed in certain periods - daily and weekly. For them you get special Forzathon rewards, or Forzathon coins, for which you can buy things in the Forzathon shope. In this way, the players' authors want to actively motivate them to engage more often. You do not have to go directly to those multiplayer, just to single-player. For example, you have to buy a car and ride it. There are easier and even more challenging challenges. But if you want something more community, here and there you will get a notification that there is a Forzathon Live that can be joined by several players from the server, so there's always a group waiting for you to start. Again, you are filling a series of tasks, and everyone returns to the overall results.
All of this automatically includes clubs that come back with fours and are no longer separate, but are fully integrated into Xbox Live clubs. So you can get all the functionality that comes from Xbox Live - looking for group, tournaments, events, and so on. You can also have information and notifications from the club on your phone and the like. Indeed, the game is even more social and allows you to pick up new teammates, no matter how you want to play with them. in addition, there can be up to 2000 members in the club, and there are obvious club settings as well - who you want to do, how you communicate, who can add players, what players have powers, and so on. If you want to join us, our SECTORsk club already runs under this name.
The amount of content in the game is linked to the seasons. Of course, the base is accessible anytime, and as suddenly you get out of the prologue and normal seasons start (the game changes every week and we have autumn), no matter when you choose some races and championships, whether it is spring, summer, autumn or winter. Well then there are also specific and time-limited races and events, both in the campaign and Team Adventure, as well as in Forzathone and so on. In addition, they can bring you more specific rewards, so if you miss one, you have to wait a month for another chance.
Additionally, the season has an impact on gameplay itself, and in several layers. First of all, it is an aesthetic function. Each week changes the character of the game altogether, and it does all this immediately. But it is the world itself. For example, you might think that the lake will freeze in winter, and the world will create a new way. But it is also the fact that during the winter (the wettest period in the game) everything is out of the way and the cars are getting worse. The season also has an impact on riding conditions. In winter, you have to go through the wet season, for example, with Pagani out of the way. And it also slips on it.
The riding model is probably unchanged, which is good. Forza Horizon was and still is an arcade series, but not in the Need for Speed style. Cars still have their weight, the state of the road still affects the ride, you can not ride from the mantinel to the mantinel. It's really a true arcade and especially a fun ride that is still based on reality. Except for the smaller stone walls with which England is positively and do not fit in, just how easy it is in the game you can bang. Although they are really the smallest and the country belongs to, there is probably no reason why the player did not pass the car when he can comfortably mow small trees, bushes and traffic signs, but I personally do not sit in the game.
Horizon 4 is about you and customizing yourself as much as possible from the game. This does not apply only to races, but also to other aspects. You have your rider, whom you create at the beginning and gradually acquire new clothes and equipment. Everything just as a cosmetic, but if you enjoy it, peacefully. You can buy houses here (even a castle) that you can use as a base for fast travel and also for changing clothes or as a garage. You can create and share visual edits of cars, while the editor's options are huge, and some players now have the clock to put on a straight after buying a car from someone to really download a great design if you are not one of the more skillful. You can also create tuning settings, which you can also make available to others for download. The possibilities are huge, the offer of cars is really huge and varied (more than 450) and there are also no barn finds.
The well-known offer of radio plays in the game, which exemplify the festival atmosphere and really suit everybody, belongs to the adaptable experience. There's a classic, there's electronic music, rock, chillout melodies and hip-hop. There are 6 radio stations in total, each of which is accompanied by a truly natural presenter and among the performers there are also great names like Beck, CHVRCHES, Marshmello, The Killers, Foo Fighters, Kendrick Lamar and many others. It's enough for those hours of play, it listens pleasantly, and if some of you are listening, you just switch.
What is not captured, these are the sounds of cars that are still great and there is luck that there are several tunnels in the game, where you can fully enjoy the sound system, until you have all the hair on your body. Graphically it has not changed so much, as we are still on the same generation of hardware. However, there are some minor improvements that make the game even better. the cars are nice and detailed, you can see them all in the Forzavista mode. The environment is more vivid, lively. The Xbox One X game now runs with graphical enhancements and at 60 fps, and the PC is much better optimized, and Playground Games has focused on 60 fps. Peripheral support is the same as for Forza Motorsport 7 on PC and Xbox One.
You may have been expecting the same thing two years ago, but the bigger the surprise you finally get into your hands. Of course, it will still be an arcade racing game in the open world, but even so, the author has managed to bring a bunch of news to the author, which move somewhere far further. Those hours of fun that are ahead of you now can not be counted. In addition, you can tailor your taste to your taste, and it still plays great. If I had something to say, despite many qualities and novelties, it would still be just the little things and things that I missed from the previous parts, but here I did not get for some reason. This is why the rating is the same as two years ago.
