Survival game from the open world from Czech developers Bohemia Interactive resonates for more than five years. This is the period in which it was formed in the Preliminary Approach version. It was really a long time and it was finally up to the official issue. This has happened, but the result is not very convincing, though at least it has greatly reduced the number of bugs that this game is all about.
But the authors apparently did not notice where the survival of the genre changed in the meantime, and the title, which for some time raised considerable attention, eventually faded between the average. In the overwhelming majority, the community's reactions are negative and criticism, not hard, but rather indifferent. Someone almost no longer wants to deal with this game. Finally, neither in our editorial board did anyone dig into the review, and finally Peter was left in my hands.
I have created a character, selected a suitable server in the now exclusively multiplayer game and found itself in a dark forest. There was a search for a way out of the trees and the thickets, where the silence was abnormal and I found nothing alive or dead. Well, actually - nothing. But I noticed a vapor cloud from the mouth of my elated figure and the branches that swirled in the wind - pretty good effects. I was soon in an open field with a field road, on which I gradually found abandoned houses and a simple harbor. Naturally, I started exploring and searching the rooms.
Frequently empty rooms, where sometimes a lone cabinet (which can not be opened), sometimes a table, piecka, some cans or a piece of clothing in the middle of the floor, look quite unnatural. The creators tried to create the impression that it had been abandoned and abandoned long ago. But there is a lot of things coming straight up with purity and neatness, which in conjunction with some rusty objects and frayed wallpaper acts like a fist on the eye. There are not even swept and broken bottles to make this environment more credible.
In addition, interior equipment is constantly being repeated - for example, a table with corkscreen is in every second dwelling. Exactly unnatural, numerous doors are thoroughly secured by metal bars. I found you in most of the buildings, whether they were blocks or ordinary woods. In some parts of a very large world, it looked better, the worse and the overall atmosphere, and the impression of the vanquished Soviet government was to make Russian inscriptions and wrecks of old good Škoda or V3S. Basically it could be the former Czechoslovakia.
With a long blur, I have also drawn on more interesting sites, and since there is nothing in the game at all, at least I have a taste of a variety of things - the ruins of the power plant, the construction site, the abandoned town, the church on the hill, where the zombie priest welcomed me. Like other infections you occasionally shoot in the field, this one behaved stupidly, even on a walking dead. On the other hand, in addition to the zombies you can smash with your fists in a bored duel, you rarely paint some of the gods of the forgotten country. It is quite common that you will not find any signs of life after an hour. Very rarely, you will notice an animal that can be caught by a primitive knife, which is part of your very symbolic equipment at the beginning and you get some meat, bone or skin.
Finding a different player in a large country is also a problem on full servers, but servers are mostly thinly occupied or empty. And when someone is pritrafí, you can also use various friendly gestures and drag it along - or kill each other. You can also use firearms, including a gun or a shotgun, which you sometimes find in a deserted house, along with cool clothes, cans of unlicensed collage, caps, helmets, and canned food. These are the most common findings you find and the overall interaction with the environment is very limited. Most objects can not be explored, opened or broken even if you already have some tools. At the same time, looking at the closet closet or container contents, which looks exactly like what a building block stands for, is a natural choice for any homeless person you are actually in, post-apocalyptic or any other world. But here's not the case.
The character inventory where you collect the booty is quite limited, but you can get more space after the suit or suitcase. Sometimes they have something in your body and you can put in there other things that otherwise occupy a valuable place in your trousers or sweatshirt. Manipulation with inventory is rather cumbersome, but you get used to it for a while. In any case, it is important to have food and beverages to keep you from hunger and dehydration. It can also be cold winter, and bandages can be worn when itching, otherwise you can slowly bloody. Of course, weapons and some tools are also good. In critical condition, your character drops off and is temporarily out of control when they kill her, waiting for you to restart in the role of a new survivor, which begins again from the beginning and loses all of the previous findings.
Game graphics at high settings and resolution is not the worst, although some locations are more accurately processed, others are quite deflated. The exteriors are pretty good, but as already mentioned, the interiors are uninteresting and act artificially and unnaturally. Still, you will encounter overlapping textures, especially in the case of the characters that the weapon returns to the body. Or, over the helmet or cap in the covered places they are hairy. The sound is very poor, and there are especially some rumors of the environment - tree noise, birding or anything else that would make the world less sterile.
DAYZ has gone through a long and distressing journey with a very embarrassing climax over the years. The result is lukewarm, it is easy to lose in the sea of competition, which in the meantime intensified and shrouded the hopeful attempt of famous Czech developers. If you can discover the vast and the places of a very interesting environment and search for raw materials for survival, the game can satisfy you to a certain extent. Especially if you have some friends. But for most people, it's a dull and sterile world where nothing happens, long hours of bludgeon and fewer players, because most survivors do not leave DAYZ, they will do so soon. Even some of the interesting creations of the community do not keep them in the game for a long time. Positive is that bugs and technical mistakes are much less, but you still have no idea it's a complete game, it's not worth 40 € at all, and it's virtually no move from the pre-release version. And he eventually overwhelmed his opportunity.
