Living in a country where people are rather religious, I understand the spiritual aspect of it. I also believe that faith and the community can offer someone the support they need at times of great distress in their lives. It doesn't even matter if it's based on truth or not (or who's truth), it is important that they believe it and gives them peace of mind or purpose when they need it the most.

Yes, the architecture definitely stands out. Even within our country, you won't find anything similar (as far as I know).
