PolyCub: The Result of Experience, Learning, Evolution and Development
When Leofinance was created about 3 years ago under a different name and a different blockchain, who would have thought the Leofinance ecosystem will grow so much and in so many directions in only 3 years? I don't believe Khal did either. But appetite comes by eating. Or in this case, by making, by creating.
What I really like about Leofinance team and Khal is that they don't stop learning and evolving. And that reflects in the projects under the Leofinance umbrella.
Not only do they learn from their own experience with their own projects, but they also check out many other alternatives that can be a source of inspiration.
The end result is that newer programs use the newest reliable tendencies in the industry, while older programs keep getting upgraded so they will remain relevant over time.
For example, when launching Cub Finance a year ago, some unfortunate choices were made. Like using a model that proved to be unsustainable. It took months of extra work to fix that on Cub Finance.
I suspect this is one reason why for PolyCub the sustainability of the platform on the long term was one of the main focuses of the team when they researched and developed it. Learning from past choices and improving for the future.
Cub Finance didn't have any real marketing campaign going on at launch. Despite that, the platform gained some impressive traction in the first weeks.
Learning from the launch of Cub Finance, the LeoFinance team put together a serious marketing campaign for the new platform PolyCub, launched on Polygon less than two weeks ago.
From interviews and podcast appearances Khal had and will still have with various influencers, to articles being published by top crypto media websites like Cointelegraph, CryptoNews and probably at least one more big name to follow.
Khal mentioned they are monitoring the results obtained from each of these sources of potential new users (i.e. liquidity providers), so they will know what to focus on for the future launches. Again, learning and applying for the future...
Another thing that wasn't very smooth with Cub Finance but seems very well organized now is a campaign to get PolyCub listed on major aggregators, plus on CoinGecko, which already happened.
As a result of this campaign PolyCub was already added to Debank, were Cub Finance was already included.
The challenge remains to bring it to more aggregators, and there is a call-to-action for lions and cubbers to help with this process with their votes. I've done my part, but the more the better! It shouldn't take more than a few minutes to vote on all of them.
There is something else that Khal mentioned a couple of times and I don't think it reached too many people so far this nuance.
He said PolyCub is Defi 2.0, but he also made a parallel with various NFT series. To compare it with Splinterlands, since most people understand that, Cub Finance could be seen as the Alpha set, PolyCub as the Beta set, the next self-sustainable "outpost" (the name he refers these defi clones of PolyCub on different chains by) could be the Untamed set and so on. The common characteristic - they all have limited print, and the older they are they more valuable they become.
Will this happen for Leofinance Defi 2.0 platforms? That's the plan.
If it works out, that's the way to build serious wealth for diamond paws over time.
