In a period when people focus - with good reason - on HBD and how the increased APR will impact our entire ecosystem, I'd like to take a step sideways and talk, again, about Listnerds.
Time has gone by since I did something a little strange, by calculating an APR for my investment on Listnerds taking into account LISTNERDS tokens alone. Almost 3 weeks. 18 days to be exact.
It is strange, because Listnerds offers the means of promoting your online business, building audiences, to network and engage.
But its tokenomics proved to be a very reliable income generator. With certain conditions, at least from my own experience:
- be active and use it often (if possible daily)
- one of the core benefits Listnerds has is that it increases engagement on your posts - treat commenters with respect and reply to their comments (if you have this habit, upvote their comments too - I do)
- time is limited and you may not be able to go comment on other people's posts from Listnerds every day; but at least make a habit of using your voting power, both on Listnerds and on Hive; commenting as well is better, whenever possible
- stake some CTP on Listnerds to be able to vote on more emails (at least 100 CTP in my opinion)
- consider upgrading, your growth will be exponential compared to free members, IF you keep in mind the other conditions I discovered from my own experience to be working; IF you upgrade and your MO is to set up emails to be sent automatically every day, I don't think it will work out very well.
For the past 18 days I've been following my rules above. Today I noticed something when I claimed my LISTNERDS.
They are more than double since the post from 18 days ago. Yesterday would have been double. So in 17 days, I doubled my LISTNERDS stake.
From 1000 to over 2100 today.
I've advanced on the richlist ranking too, from outside top 10 to the 9th position. But I don't really focus on that.
I needed 3 months to reach 1000 LISTNERDS and 17 days to double that. That shows how powerful a higher stake of LISTNERDS can become.
What I believe I'll do going forward is the following.
Unstake 100 LISTNERDS every 1000 LISTNERDS milestone that I pass, starting today. I'll unstake 100 LISTNERDS today. When I reach 3100 LISTNERDS, I'll unstake another 100 LISTNERDS. At 4100 another 100 and so on, until I decide otherwise.
It takes 10 weeks to unstake, so it'll take a while. That will give me some liquidity to play with on the long run (maybe swap for HIVE to help with my main goal for 2022), but at the same time keep increasing my LISTNERDS stake, which for me was definitely the most profitable investment in 2022 so far. Who would have thought?
