I've seen other people on our chain mentioning the unbearable heat during the day already from their parts of the world.

I've had this routine of going out to "be seen" by the sun for a while in the morning. Some natural vitamin D and all that...

Today I was in the yard into the sun light at around 8:15 am and it was quite pleasant. But no more than 10 minutes later the heat started to become overwhelming, and I had to move into the shadow. That was quick... Only 10 minutes of exposure to sun with my clothes on at 8 o'clock in the morning, and I had enough? Where are the sunbathing days at the seaside from some (quite a few already) years ago?

I don't know what the temperature was this morning, but outside direct sun light it felt very good. Either way, it looks like pleasant sun light in the morning is behind us already. Now, the scorching time begins... And the sun light is indiscriminate: people, animals, plants, land, or water, it shines on top of everything. At least people and animals can hide. Plants and land are not so lucky.

The highest temperature today went to 33°C (91°F). It will likely be higher than that in mid-summer, and I'm sure some people around the globe are accustomed to worse conditions in the summertime (say... someone in Sahara during hot summer days, or SE Asia due to the humidity more than the heat), but in the afternoon I thought I was melting as I passed through the sun light for some chores.

I don't envy workers who need to do their job outside in direct sun light during the summer.

As you might've guessed, I don't like summer... much. Mainly because of the extreme heat and the storms. But at least I have a place to hide from them. Others are not so lucky.

After two days of long posts that were either heavy or informational, I thought a Saturday break through an easy to digest (and to write) post would be a good change. I didn't feel up to write another long post anyway.

I hope you're having fun or relax this weekend. I unfortunately... am not. We had some workers around today, and for various reasons looks like our weekend has been... messed up. There's always the next one to look forward to.
