Remember when Meta decided to roll out their version of Twitter and call it... Threads? Of course you do! Is that still around? 馃ぃ Many on Leofinance (now INLEO) looked at it like a name theft. Not in legal terms for anyone who looked it up, although there were voices saying that Khal should have sued Meta for the name, but still, many didn't like the feeling. It is also a flattering side of it: someone from Meta (and X!) keeps an eye on what Khal's been building on Hive.
I wrote about it before. Someone from Facebook (then, now Meta) was hired to look into the crypto space right after our legacy chain came to life. In two years they had 50 employees in the department and started to work on Libre/Diem or whatever it was called. That project scared politicians terribly (Facebook and its currency could have become more powerful financially than any country) and they had what buttons to push in that case to kill the project before it got launched.
But these are things long gone. Where I'm going with this?
I listened to the recording of this week's INLEO AMA. One of the topics Khal was quite excited about was LeoAI, an in-house trained AI for INLEO. Currently trained with all-time threads, but after a while, long-form posts will be a basis for its training too.
Khal gave an example. He asked LeoAI, "What it thinks LEO was after reviewing November threads" and was impressed by its answer. I saw his thread a while ago, with that answer, and, indeed, it is pretty good. Let me see if I can find it again. Here it is:
I understand his excitement. Playing with an AI can be powerful. Luckily, we don't need to worry as much about these AI models yet, but at some point, we need to treat them like raising a child, and even more carefully.
Speaking about the name though, I remembered I saw LeoAI before. And here's where I saw it:

The Leo team simply seems to be unlucky with names. The Threads name was taken by Meta, there is a LEO coin in the top 100 (I believe it's still top 100), which is not our $LEO, now LeoAI already exists from Brave. Well, I guess this has been a general Hive problem, for whatever reason.
