Since the video game industry came to our world, game developers are always innovating with their ideas, thanks to them we can enjoy excellent titles over the years, some of them would remain in the past, but others would evolve with technology and reach the current generations of game consoles, as is the case of Bomberman.

Bomberman was designed by Shoji Mizuno and programmed by Hudson in 1983 for entertainment computers such as the MSX in Japan, then in 1984 this would come out in Europe but with the name of Eric and the floaters. In this videogame you can see the basic concept with which the future deliveries of the saga would come out.

Then Hudson to see the excellent reactions that had the gamers of that time decided to innovate with Bomberman 3D, respecting the same idea of the previous game only that everything would revolve around the third dimension, however, this was not very accepted so they discarded this mechanism for future deliveries.

When the Famicom (Nintendo Entertainment System in America) came out, Hudson decided to get down to work to get his next release, completely improving that video game they released for MSX, that's how everyone would know the classic Bomberman, a video game full of power ups, bombs and enemies.

Despite the success of this video game had not reached the hands of many gamers, even released games for other game consoles such as Turbo Grafx but for the bad sales of the same never got to know. It was in 1993 in the brand new Super Nintendo where this game would explode around the world under the name of Super Bomberman.

It had the classic gameplay but adding an adventure mode, new enemies, bosses, multiplayer mode which could be up to 4 players, and of course completely renewed graphics, this is how this title would become the mainstay of success for the Bomberman saga, later releasing infinities of sequels and other games with different mechanics.

When the Nintendo 64 arrived the whole panorama of Bomberman would change, many companies were betting on 3D graphics, so Hudson took a risk to bring out Bomberman 64. Despite not being a bad game the fans of this saga did not like at all the mechanics that it had, because there were no more labyrinths, causing the gameplay was completely different.

It is here when the Bomberman franchise begins to decline, every video game that was released to the market was almost ignored by the community, many preferred to play the classic video games, however, Hudson was going through very bad times, so much so that it was totally absorbed by Konami, disappearing from the gamer industry.

When it was thought that Bomberman was already extinct, Konami decides to release a video game that left the franchise in total destruction, this was called Bomberman Act Zero released for the Xbox 360. This game was catalogued as the worst of the whole franchise by the same fans, becoming one of the worst selling video games in history.

Konami understood that Bomberman players didn't want any innovation, they just wanted their favorite video game to go back to its roots, that's how they developed a video game for Xbox Live Arcade called Bomberman Live. Here it was just the classic game mode with obviously improved graphics, power ups, labyrinths and of course an online multiplayer mode, selling successfully all over the world.

Despite this release Bomberman was in an uncertainty, because there was no game that would impact his loyal followers again, it was not until the exit of the Nintendo Switch that our little friend bomber would resurface again with the video game Super Bomberman R, becoming a complete success.
