I perfectly understand your point of view.
I am a trainer in a stationary bicycle system and I can understand what you mention, because it is not the same to concentrate on an exercise technique to tone, lower or increase muscle mass than doing it through a video game.
However, you have to see the positive side. Many people who play video games are very sedentary, this is very bad for their health. If video games allow you to get out of that sedentary lifestyle and progressively activate your muscles you will see a small difference in your body over time.
This will surely lead them to do some kind of exercise in a serious and responsible way, changing their habits a little and improving other aspects.
It is true that this is something very complicated to integrate, but we must not rule out the possibility that thanks to these exercise-oriented video games are useful for many people.
