A pleasant experience
During my stay in Colombia (10 months), I lived many experiences that I had not experienced in Venezuela, one of them was playing retro games in the fucking arcade machines, in Venezuela, I got to do it but when I was tiny, I almost can't remember anything really, well, in Colombia, it is very common for any shopping center to have a recreational area for gamers, you know, realistic driving simulators, euro truck simulator arcade machines, dance floors, etc. There were literally a number of amazing games...
To my surprise I didn't find a single current game, they were all retro, I don't understand why but in every game fair I went to, all the games were old and outdated, they were fun but had nothing to do with the current ones, but there was one where I spent all the fucking coins, and yes, it was on Night Slashers. A very curious and fun beat'em up at the same time. It reminded me of a lot of beat'em ups I've played before, but I've never experienced playing one on an arcade machine so I had to play it no matter what.
Unfortunately, the arcade machine was not like in the photo, it was utterly black and now, it was noticed that it had been installed and was not completely original. However, still, the experience was the same, levers, buttons, and many coins to lose. Initially, I arrived at the site and deposited 25,000 Colombian pesos, which today is equivalent to $5, it wasn't much, I just wanted to drive (since I'm addicted to that), after driving in a euro truck, I went looking for another machine more realistic and I found the Night Slashers one, I decided to deposit 1 coin and try it, I loved it and went back to the register only to deposit 40,000 more Colombian pesos, which is around 8$.
Obviously, at the beginning we see absolutely no history, it is a game that goes directly to the point, it only teaches you the controls and that's it, we don't even know about the objective XD. I did notice that there were some rather strange aliens, and obviously, I had to kill them. My first character was Christopher, I had no idea what he was, but I loved his way of fighting, he was unique and had pretty good powers, however, I wasn't used to doing the combinations, so I decided to change to the king of martial arts, Zhao Hong Hua, I loved it because he was an Asian just like Bruce Lee, he fought incredibly.
There were times when my health plummeted immediately, and it was because it took me a long time to kill the enemies, I don't know why, but they doubled and in the blink of an eye, I was surrounded by more than 15 enemies, complete madness ... However, that settled over time, after entering my 6th coin, I was already a PRO, literally, it took more than 20 minutes between stages and I couldn't kill myself, I became a specialist for Zhao and Christopher, there was another character, I don't remember the name but I never tried it, I didn't want to waste time learning how to play with him, besides, the coins were expensive... I had a balance of about $11 and they only served me to play 9 times, fuck...
The game has bonus phases and many, many worlds, obviously different enemies, some fall from the sky, others appear, others fight better, and some are just bots THAT DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIGHT, XD. Anyway, it's a very complete game and its AI is wonderful, the game is difficult, but let's say that it's not like some impossible title of the same genre, not at all...
We also have very cool animated backgrounds, where there are spectators or destroyed cities, I don't know, it reminds me a lot of SF. Graphically the game is beautiful and very colorful and if you see it live it's 100 times better, some enemies bleed when they die, but that's cool. The physics are the same as any retro game from the 90s, it's basically that. But we also found a great job on each character, and the movements don't become repetitive, no, but you feel that you use many movements at the same time, mixing punches or kicks with jumping also helps a lot, and creates a kind of "stunt" for the enemies.
Here's my anger, this game made me lose a lot with the bosses, yes, they are stupidly difficult, but unfortunately, I got to stage 3, I couldn't get past that and I didn't have more money to put in either, but after doing a little research, I got to stage 7, complete madness to get there. You have to have a lot of respect for the bosses, they are the worst on the planet, and a single hit from them (sometimes) literally lowers 90% of your life, WTF?
I swear it was a brutal experience, I loved owning that machine for more than 1 hr XD. I recommend that if you ever see an arcade machine, play on it, the experience is very different from playing it on an emulator sitting in your gamer chair, no, the fun is moving the levers and playing with the combination of buttons. I hope the retro machines come back, or at least they recover much more fame than they already have. Cheers!

Saludos!
