En un recorrido movido por la fe, decenas de peregrinos salieron caminando desde sus asentamientos rurales hacia la ciudad de Villa de Cura para participar de las famosas peregrinaciones hacia la gruta de la Virgen de Lourdes, peregrinaciones que cumplieron más de 120 años de tradición ininterrumpidas.

La llegada de estos devotos creyentes termina en el famoso sitio histórico de El Calvario donde sacerdotes y otros miembros de la iglesia escoltan a los peregrinos hacia la gruta en compañía de músicos de la ciudad donde generalmente participan niños y adolescentes de esta ceremonia religiosa que ya forma parte de la cultura de nuestra sociedad..
