May flower or May lily belongs to the family of orchids, is an epiphytic plant with fleshy leaves, originally from Colombia, although its distribution reaches Ecuador.
It is the most abundant and most characteristic of the Colombian cattleyas, than for the striking and remarkable size of its flowers. It was incorporated into national symbols.
