At my grandmother's house there was a big problem with the wifi. Although they hired a fiber optic service, the wifi does not reach the whole house and that can sometimes be a problem for those who live in the last rooms, because they do not receive signal and must go out to the living room to connect to the internet from their devices.
Well, to solve this problem I gave the family this wifi repeater.

En casa de mi abuela había un gran problema con el wifi. Aunque contrataron un servicio de fibra óptica, el wifi no llega a toda la casa y eso a veces puede ser un problema para los que viven en las últimas habitaciones, pues no reciben señal y deben salir a la sala para poder conectarse al internet desde sus dispositivos.
Pues bien, para solventar este problema le regalé a la familia este repetidor wifi.
I honestly thought it would be a much larger device but no, it is a compact device, similar to a wipod, which simply redistributes the WIFI signal from the router to other areas where the router itself does not reach.
Here you can see the size of the device out of the box. It comes with only the equipment with four integrated antennas, which can be opened to send more signal.
Sinceramente pensé que sería un equipo mucho más grande pero no, es un equipo compacto, parecido a un wipod, que simplemente redistribuye la señal WIFI del router a otras áreas a donde el propio router no llega.
Aquí pueden ver el tamaño que tiene el equipo una vez fuera de su caja. Vienen solo el equipo con cuatro antenas integradas, las cuales se pueden abrir para enviar mayor señal.
It does not come with a power cord, like a common router, but it comes with a plug to connect it directly to a power outlet.
This seems to me a disadvantage, because with power outages or any voltage failure in the electrical system the equipment could easily burn, and that problem with the electrical system here in Venezuela is a big problem, so this is something you have to take into account when deciding whether to buy this equipment or not.
No trae consigo un cable de corriente, como un router común, sino que viene con enchufe para conectarlo directamente a una toma de corriente.
Esto me parece una desventaja, pues con los bajones de electricidad o alguna falla de voltaje en el sistema eléctrico el equipo podría quemarse fácilmente, y ese problema con el sistema eléctrico aquí en Venezuela es un gran problema, así que esto es algo que tienen que tomar en cuenta a la hora de decidir si comprar este equipo o no.
On the other hand they have a RJ45 network cable to connect the repeater to the router or modem that provides the internet. It is not very long, so I guess it serves more to connect the repeater to a modem that can not distribute wifi.
Por otra parte tienen un cable de red RJ45 para conectar el repetidor al router o modem que provee el internet. No es muy largo, así que supongo que sirve más para conectar el repetidor a un modem que no puede distribuir wifi.
One of the attractions of this equipment is that, like many other routers, it can function as a repeater, as a router itself or as an AP Mode or access point.
It has these three functions and it is really easy to configure it by following the instructions in the manual itself, which is a page with very detailed indications. It is in English, so you will have to use a translator if you do not know any English.

I decided to connect it using the WIFI signal distributed by the main router. The function of the repeater is to take this signal and simply send it a little further.

I should clarify that, although it does its job, as you move away from the repeater the signal becomes drastically slower, something else to take into account when buying this equipment.
I guess it is made to distribute good signal over a short distance, let's say a couple of rooms away, at most, so be careful with this.
Debo aclarar que, aunque cumple su función, conforme te alejas del repetidor la señal se vuelve drásticamente más lenta, algo mas a tomar en cuenta a la hora de comprar este equipo.
Supongo que está hecho para distribuir buena señal a corta distancia, digamos un par de habitaciones más allá, a lo mucho, así que ojo con esto.
So folks, that's it for the unboxing and my experience using this device. General opinion, it is not very good, but it fulfills a basic function, to cost 10$. Other equipment a little better are obviously more expensive, but this one for the price it fulfills, it helps to solve the fault that was at grandma's house.

Y bien amigos, esto ha sido todo respecto al unboxing y mi experiencia usando este equipo. Opinión general, no es muy bueno, pero cumple con una función básica, para costar 10$. Otros equipos un poco mejores evidentemente son más costosos, pero este por el precio cumple, ayuda a solventar la falla que había en casa de la abuela.
