Greetings friends, some time ago I made a small sculpture of Godzilla is Chibi style, a charming figure but with an annoying face, like Godzilla.

My idea is to make a small collection of the monsterverse and its characters, so I would like to continue this collection with Kong.

Saludos amigos, hace un tiempo hice una pequeña escultura de Godzilla es estilo Chibi, una figura encantadora pero con cara de molestia, como la de Godzilla.

Mi idea es hacer una pequeña colección del monsterverse y sus personajes, así que me gustaría continuar esta colección con Kong.

Step by step

As usual I made a base for this sculpture, a small wire skeleton to support the axe and the arm of this Kong. Also, as my intention is to keep it over time.

Paso a paso

Como siempre hice una base para esta escultura, un pequeño esqueleto de alambre que sirva para sostener el hacha y el brazo de este Kong. Además, como mi intención es que se mantenga con el tiempo.

After having the skeleton ready I started to make the legs, which are similar to the hands of a human, then I made the legs that should not be so long, because of the Chibi style shape I made of the character.

Después de tener listo el esqueleto comencé a hacer las patas, las cuales son similares a las manos de un humano, luego le hice las piernas que no deberían ser tan largas, por la forma en estilo Chibi que hice del personaje.

After giving the legs a better shape, I continued with the chest, which although it should be in scale with the legs, I made it a little bigger than what should be the size of the kong chest. As you can see, it gets wider as it reaches the shoulders.

Después de darle mejor forma a las piernas, continué con el pecho, que si bien debe estar a escala con las piernas, lo hice un poco más grande a lo que debería ser el tamaño del pecho de kong. Como pueden ver, en mas ancho conforme llega a los hombros.

Then I continued with the arm. In essence, I made it as if it were an ordinary arm, only a little wider in the wrist area. Notice that the wire that goes from the arm is the same wire that will be used to hold the axe.

Luego continué con el brazo. En esencia lo hice como si fuese un brazo común y corriente, solo que un poco mas ancho en el área de la muñeca. Fíjense que el alambre que va desde el brazo es el mismo alambre que servirá para sostener el hacha.

For the axe I covered the handle with brown plasticine, then I made the hand to cover the handle of the axe, as it is Kong who is holding the axe. The shoulder and biceps I made pronounced, because Kong is quite muscular.

Para el hacha cubrí el mango con plastilina marrón, luego hice la mano para cubrir el mango de la misma, pues es Kong quien está sosteniendo el hacha. El hombro y los bíceps los hice pronunciados, pues kong es bastante musculoso.

In the same way as I made the right arm, I also made the left arm, but if you look at this arm I didn't make a support, because it is downwards, so it didn't need any kind of support.

De la misma manera como hice el brazo derecho, también hice el brazo izquierdo, pero si se fijan a este brazo no le hice soporte, pues este está hacia abajo, así que no necesitaba soporte de ningún tipo.

I practically finished the body, so I continued with the head. The head of this kong I made into a pear shape and flattened it a bit on the top, I also flattened it on the part where the face should be placed.

Prácticamente terminé el cuerpo, así que continué con la cabeza. La cabeza de este kong lo hice con forma de pera y lo aplasté un poco en la parte de arriba, también lo aplasté en la parte donde debería colocar el rostro.

Precisely in that flattened area was where I began to mold the face, I did it with three parts, a bulging area where the mouth and nose go, then two more parts for the eyebrows where the eyes are located.

These three lumps of plasticine were used to start molding what would be Kong's face.

Precisamente, en esa área aplastada fue donde comencé a moldear el rostro, lo hice con tres partes, una zona abultada donde va la boca y la nariz, luego dos partes más para las cejas donde están ubicados los ojos.

Estos tres bultos de plastilina sirvieron para comenzar a moldear lo que sería el rostro de kong.

I made the axe in three colors, gray, blue and white. I mixed them without any pattern and placed it on the tip of the axe, then I placed more brown platiline around the tip of the axe, to simulate that this stone goes through the wooden part of the axe.

El hacha lo hice de tres color, gris, azul y blanco. Los mezclé sin ningún patron y lo coloqué en la punta del hacha, luego coloqué más platilina marrón alrededor de la punta del hacha, para simular que esta piedra atraviesa la parte de madera del hacha.

The last thing I did was to make numerous lines along the body to simulate fur, something that increases in 1000% the quality of the figure, as it makes it look just great.

Ya lo último que hice fue hacer numerosas líneas a lo largo del cuerpo para simular pelaje, algo que sube en 1000% la calidad de la figura, ya que la hace lucir simplemente genial.

The last thing I did was to color the cardboard base I made for this kong. Giving it a similar painting to the earth.

Ya lo último que hice fue colorear la base de cartón que hice para este kong. Dándole un pintado similar a la tierra.
