The other day a community mission was held in the community in favor of pets.
This mission is called "Misión Nevado", it is a project created by the government with the objective of providing care for pets. Well, this day was on Friday and the whole community could attend, so early in the morning many pet owners brought their furry friends.
As expected, I brought my little Tchalla, my black cat like a panther.

El otro día se hizo en la comunidad una jornada de una misión comunitaria en favor a las mascotas.
Esta misión se llama "Misión Nevado", es un proyecto creado por el gobierno con el objetivo de brindar cuidado a las mascotas. Pues bien, esta jornada fue el día viernes y toda la comunidad podría asistir, así que desde temprano muchos dueños de mascotas llevamos a los peludos de la casa.
Como era de esperarse, yo llevé a mi pequeña Tchalla, mi gata negra como una pantera.
The activity took place in a large area, a huge patio where all the neighbors could bring their pets with total comfort.
They also set up some tables to attend to the pets and give them the corresponding check-up.
Some of the friends of the community also brought their pets, both dogs and cats.
La actividad de hizo en un área extensa, un patio enorme donde todos los vecino podrían traer a sus mascotas con total comodidad.
También habilitaron unas mesas para atender allí a las mascotas y hacerle la revisión correspondiente a cada una.
Algunos de los amigos de la comunidad también llevaron a sus mascotas, tanto perros como gatos.
I know these two cats by name, one is called "Lola", the one with yellow eyes; the one with black and white fur is called "Flay". I have already told you about Flay, she is the same cat that was lost to a neighbor and we managed to find her after several days.

A estas dos gatas las conozco por nombre, una se llama "Lola", la de ojos amarillos; la de pelaje negro con blanco de llama "Flay". De Flay ya les he hablado antes, pues es la misma gata que se le extravió a una vecina y logramos encontrarla después de varios días.

I remember that they squeezed her teats to see if milk would come out, but nothing came out, so they had to keep waiting to see if she would put on more weight.
The truth is that this cat is huge, she eats a lot and drinks a lot of water. She is always eating so no wonder she is so fat.
Recuerdo que le apretaron las tetitas a ver si salía leche, pero no salió nada, así que debían seguir esperando a ver si engordaba más.
Lo cierto es que esa gata es enorme, come mucho y toma mucha agua. Siempre está comiendo así que no me extraña que sea tan gorda.
Lola was also examined in a short time. They didn't find many problems, they said she was a healthy cat, but the owner said she hadn't been dewormed recently and she hadn't been taking vitamins for a long time, so that's all she was prescribed, dewormer and vitamins.
As you can see, she is a very docile cat too.
La gata Lola también fue examinada en poco tiempo. No le encontraron muchos problemas, mas bien dijeron que era una gata saludable, pero el dueño dijo que no la habían desparasitado recientemente y que tenía mucho tiempo sin consumir vitaminas, así que eso fue lo único que le recetaron, desparasitante y vitaminas.

Two of the owners of the aforementioned pets also have other pets. One has a dog, the white and furry one in the photos above, but he also has a cat named jade, which is the one in the photo below.
The other, Lola's owner, also has a couple of puppies. The one you see in the photo below is the mom of those two puppies.
As expected, both pet owners brought their two furry dogs to this day to have their consultation.

Como era de esperarse, ambos dueños de mascotas trajeron a sus dos peludos a esta jornada para que les hicieran su consulta.
There were some pretty curious pets that they brought to the journey, like a mother rabbit with her 8 bunnies; there was even a lady who brought a sheep, only I wasn't there when they brought it.
The funny thing is that I do remember hearing about it, as the journey was two houses away from my home.
Hubo mascotas bastante curiosas que trajeron a la jornada, como una mamá conejo con sus 8 conejitos; incluso, hubo una señora que trajo un ovejo, solo que no estuve cuando lo llevaron.
Lo curioso es que sí recuerdo haberlo escuchado, pues la jornada se hizo a dos casas de distancia de mi hogar.
While I was waiting for my cat Tchalla's turn, I took the opportunity to take pictures of many of the dogs that were brought to the day.
Interestingly, many of the dog owners did not have collars on their dogs, so many of them had to carry them or carry them by their legs.
These dogs, like the other cats, were really docile.
Mientras esperaba, pues aún faltaba para el turno de mi gata Tchalla, aproveché de tomar fotos a muchos de los perritos que llevaron a la jornada.
Es interesante que muchos de los dueños de perros no les tenían collares, de ahí que muchos tuvieran que cargarlos o llevarlos bien sujetos de las patas.
Estos perros, tal como los otros gatos, eran realmente dóciles.
I did come across a rather elegant dog, at least it seemed that way to me.
His owner had a chain on him and I didn't get too close to him for fear that he would bite me, but the owner told me that he was a very tame dog, so I dared to show him affection and he was certainly a docile dog.

Now, the cutest thing of the day. This little dog caused a lot of tenderness among those present, as it was the smallest of all the dogs that were brought.
Even the veterinarians who were present carried the puppy and made him tender, because he was really cute.
They dewormed him according to his weight and prescribed him some vitamins.
Ahora, lo más tierno de la jornada. Este pequeño perrito causó mucha ternura entre los presentes, pues era el más chiquito de todos los que llevaron.
Incluso los mismos veterinarios que estaban presente cargaron al perrito y le hicieron cariño, pues era realmente tierno.
Lo desparasitaron según su peso y le recetaron unas vitaminas.
Finally it was Tchalla's turn. I was number 25, so I had to wait a long time.
They asked me several questions about her, like the last time she was in heat, but I answered that she was spayed.
The first thing they did was to check her teats and they didn't feel anything strange, as I told them that she had been spayed because of something related to an infection in the uterus or something like that.
Finalmente llegó el turno de Tchalla. Fui el número 25, así que tuve que esperar bastante.
Me hicieron varias preguntas sobre ella, como la última vez que tuvo su celo, pero yo les contesté que estaba esterilizada.
Lo primero que hicieron fue revisarle las tetitas y no le sintieron nada extraño, pues les comenté que la habían esterilizado por algo relacionado con una infección en el útero o algo así.
They told me that they were not inflamed and that everything was in order. They also checked his teeth and took out one of them that was infected, it came out very easily and they injected him with something for the infection.
They also inspected his ears and his tail. Something funny is that one of the girls checked his ribs and felt something strange. She told me that one of the ribs was broken, but that it had healed.
I asked her how it was possible and she told me that maybe she broke it when she was little, because it was all healed, but she felt the rib was broken.
Me dijeron que no las tenía inflamadas y que todo estaba en orden. También le revisaron los dientes y le sacaron uno que estaba infectado, salió muy fácil y le inyectaron algo para la infección.
También le inspeccionaron los oidos y la colita. Algo curioso es que una de las chicas le revisó las costillas y sintió algo raro. Me dijo que tenía una de las cosillas rotas, pero que ya había sanado.
Le pregunté cómo era posible y me dijo que quizás se la rompió cuando estaba pequeña, pues ya estaba toda sana, pero se sentía la costilla rota.
She told me that the cat could live in peace, that there would be no problem. That reminded me of a time when my grandmother sat on the cat while she was resting on a chair. Maybe at that time she fractured her rib, I don't know, but the point is that my cat is healthy and has no problems.
They also gave her a dewormer, injected her with vitamins and gave me a syringe with a daily supplement for meals.
Me dijo que la gata podría vivir tranquila, que no habría problema. Eso me hizo recordar una vez que mi abuela se sentó encima de la gata mientras esta descansaba en una silla. Quizás en ese momento se fracturó la costilla, no lo sé, pero el punto es que mi gata está sana y no presenta ningún problema.
También le dieron un desparasitante, le inyectaron vitaminas y me entregaron una jeringa con un suplemento diario para las comidas.
Everything went great on the day. I was able to see other pets from the community and photograph them, as well as share experiences with other cat owners.

Todo salió genial en la jornada. Pude ver otras mascotas de la comunidad y fotografiarlas, además de compartir experiencias con otros dueños de gatos.
