Hola a todos, espero hayan tenido un excelente fin de semana, el día de hoy les diré paso a paso cómo elaborar un top juvenil con tela de algodón, es muy sencillo y queda precioso.
Hello everyone, I hope you had a great weekend, today I will tell you step by step how to make a youth top with cotton fabric, it is very simple and looks beautiful.
Sigo elaborando este tipo de prendas ya que siempre me han parecido muy cómodas y desde que abordé mi adolescencia empecé a usarlos así que los hago para las jóvenes de mi familia que tienen que empezar a usar este tipo de prendas.
Tomemos nuestras tijeras y coloquémonos manos a la obra.

Materiales || Materials
- Tela de algodón.
- encaje elástico de 3 cm de ancho.
- Morita (elástico fino).
- Tijeras.
- Alfileres.
- Cinta para lazo.
- Cinta métrica.
- Molde o patrón.
- Cotton fabric.
- Elastic lace 3 cm wide.
- Morita (thin elastic).
- Scissors.
- Pins.
- Tape for ribbon.
- Measuring tape.
- Mold or pattern.
Procedimiento || Procedure
Lo primero que vamos a hacer es elaborar y recortar nuestro molde, esto puede hacerse en hojas recicladas, papel Bond, hojas blancas.
The first thing we are going to do is to elaborate and cut out our mold, this can be done in recycled sheets, Bond paper, white sheets.
Luego de tener el molde listo vamos a colocar la tela de algodón de revés y en forma doble para que nos quede una sola pieza, el pliegue de la tela va a ser el lado donde el molde dice doblez.
After having the mold ready we are going to place the cotton fabric inside out and in a double way so that we have only one piece, the fold of the fabric is going to be the side where the mold says fold.
Vamos a recortar dos tiras de longitud de 25 cm con nuestro elástico de morita.
We are going to cut two 25 cm long strips with our morita elastic.
Tomamos la pieza de la tela y vamos a hacer una marca (una pequeña línea dibujada con un lápiz o tiza) desde cada costado a los 9 cm. Esto para saber dónde irán las tiras (parte trasera) que recortamos en el paso anterior.
We take the piece of fabric and we will make a mark (a small line drawn with a pencil or chalk) from each side at 9 cm. This is to know where the strips (back) that we cut in the previous step will go.
También vamos a hacer otra marca como se muestra en la foto en la parte más alta de la pieza, allí irá el otro extremo de la tira del top. (Parte delantera entre la sisa y el contorno de escote).
We are also going to make another mark as shown in the photo on the highest part of the piece, where the other end of the strip of the top will go. (Front part between the armhole and the neckline contour).
Vamos a coser la morita por todo el orillo de la tela. Recordemos estirar el elástico 2 cm a medida que vamos cosiendo.
Cuando lleguemos a las marcas que hicimos debemos colocar la tira de elástico recortado.
We are going to stitch the morita all along the edge of the fabric. Remember to stretch the elastic 2 cm as you sew.
When we reach the marks we made, we must place the cut elastic strip.
Cuando tengamos esto listo colocamos el elástico hacia adentro de la tela y pasamos costura de nuevo.
When we have this ready we place the elastic towards the inside of the fabric and sew again.
Nos irá quedando de esta manera.
It will look like this.
Ahora vamos a coser el encaje elástico por todo el contorno de pecho.
Now we are going to sew the elastic lace all around the chest.
Cuando esté listo podemos unir el top.
When it is ready we can attach the top.
Para terminar podemos agregarle de forma opcional un lazo para decorar y tendremos listo nuestro top.
Nota:
- Toda la costura se realizó en zig zag de 3 de ancho y 3 de largo en nuestra máquina de coser casera Singer.
- Las medidas para este top es de talla 16 juvenil.
To finish we can optionally add a bow to decorate and we will have our top ready.
Note:
- All sewing was done zig zag 3 wide and 3 long on our Singer home sewing machine.
- Measurements for this top is a size 16 youth.
