Mom's Garden

Hello.... Howdy friends @hivegarden this is my second post in this community and I want to share my impressions of mom's garden since that garden is very special to her and now with her age she can no longer take care of it as she did years before.

That day I went to visit her, she lives about 1 hour from where I live, when I arrived I saw some beautiful flowers in her garden, I did not hesitate to take pictures, I like gardens a lot but I live in a very small apartment although I am making arrangements to make my urban garden.

For example, notice how the pine tree has grown... yes the one we use at Christmas, she has one in the main entrance of the house, I remember when I was sick with COVID she gave me some branches of that tree she said **they are very good to make tea and improve your respiratory problems.

So I did, I took that advice and got home and prepared the tea and I confess that this tea was ideal to improve my respiratory problems, in fact, I kept taking it throughout the process of the disease and sometimes I use it if necessary especially when I have the flu ... advice from grandmothers

I also took a picture of this flower that is very beautiful, it is called "crown of Christ" although its scientific name is: "Euphorbia milii" the truth is that in the tree perhaps its beauty is not noticed but when they are all together and make bouquets they look very beautiful.

Another species that I got is the one that is called false sunflower its scientific name is Heliopsis and although it is not as stunning as the sunflower Yam is equally beautiful others associate it wi vi th dead carnation, I prefer to leave its scientific name.

Another of the species of this garden is the Girasol this flower is as I said before stunning and also the taste of its seed besides tasty is very nutritious as it is antioxidant and protects against some cardiovascular diseases, even some types of cancer and diabetes. Which means that we not only have a beautiful flower but also a beneficial one.

However, in this beautiful garden I also found intruders, that is, a pest that I do not know if they are caterpillars or pest, the truth is that they are devouring the leaves of sunflowers and are in large quantities, I will try to study about these insects to eliminate them from this beautiful space of sunflowers.

It was very interesting this walk through mom's garden, it is giving me ideas to place my small urban garden although I think I have to make a thorough selection to see how much resilience some flowers or some plants can have in the city, I think with the research properly I will be able to have my own jandin soon.
