I think you are completely right with your analysis. According to Ragnicks analysis it is the whole strucutre of ManU that is bringing them these poor results.
I would find an American football system more interesting but the problem with that is that they only play like 20 games a season, and all of them without breaks. Furthermore they have a spectacular system to balance the teams and provide fresh blood every year with their draft system.
European football was more like a "family business" where players are being trusted more and definetly need more time to develop themselves. Unfortunately in some cases, this brings situations like ManU's where players are the reason for the poor performances.
