Last week saw a few hits. But the goal is to have all these value players hit. Biggest whiffs were easily Taylor and Jones. Hopefully anyone that read last week's piece got plenty of Johnson, Scantling, and Swaim and paired them with some elite talents.
So here we go with week 6 already.....
QB - Jameis Winston $5800 @ Atlanta
The Fitzmagic era seems to be over in Tampa along with talks of replacing Winston at QB. Thanks to his suspension we all get the volume champion Winston in a prime matchup vs the Falcons. Atlanta is giving up 31.5 points per game, and Tampa is incapable of running the ball. Winston should be a QB 1 this week.
RB - David Johnson $5900 @ Minnesota
Another unbelievable price for one of the leagues top talents. This isn't the greatest of matchups for Johnson but he should be able to carry a high floor given his snap share and usage. He's been the only consistent producer on the entire cards roster and is capable of a big play at any time. Could be a risky play but I'd take advantage of this price for the workhorse back.
RB - Nyhiem Hines $5100 @ NY Jets
After last week it should be safe to say Hines has taken over the backfield in Indy. Hines has had a very generous target share out of the backfield and currently ranks 5th among RBs with 35. He's had an incredible catch rate to go along with that ranking 4th in total receptions at the position with 29, an 83% catch rate and only 1 drop. He seems to have ended his fumbling issues from pre season as well. Given Andrew Luck's passing distribution is mostly concentrated to Tight Ends and running backs, even with a decently tough matchup vs the Jets defense, I think it's crazy Hines is still priced this low. He should easily be a flex consideration at worst.
WR - John Brown $5500 @ Tennessee
Brown is the clear cut best receiver in Baltimore. Even when he isn't heavily targeted, he still manages to find the endzone. Luckily for him and DFS players, he does get targets, lots and lots of them. So far through 5 weeks about 9 per game, and Last week he saw 14. Although the conversion rate was low vs the Browns, it's promising to see his targets climb each week and he was still able to haul in a TD. Brown is capable of taking the top off a defense at anytime, and thanks to the huge volume in pass attempts by Baltimore, I don't see him slowing down anytime soon. The same can also be said about his price. Snag him again this week while he's still under 6k.
WR - Devin Funchess $4900 @ Washington
Funchess continues to be the Panthers #1 receiver with Greg Olsen sidelined this trend has a high chance to continue. The matchup isn't the greatest, but Funchess has fared well vs tough competition so far this year. I can still see a safe floor with some decent touchdown upside given Funchess is receiving 36% of Carolinas red zone targets and ranks 17th in red zone receptions (NFL) this season.
WR - Chris Godwin $4400 @ Atlanta
For the reasons you should start Jameis Winston, you should also start Chris Godwin. The Bucs can't do anything on the ground, and both teams have terrible defenses. This game should be an epic shootout. Godwin has already flashed this year and has shown he can command a ton of targets even when Evans and Jackson are both on the field. He's currently averaging about 5 targets and has 3 TDs in 4 games. With Atlanta giving up 30 plus per game, Godwin may be a low risk/high reward play this week.
TE Charles Clay $2700 @ Houston
Clay hasn't been nearly as effective as last season, and the Bills offense is pretty terrible to say the least. But if there is any hope for Clay to have a great week it's vs Houston. Houston gives up alot of yardage in the middle of the field which is also where QB Josh Allen likes to inaccurately target. He's the best cheap option in what's typically a weekly shit show of a position, unless you like paying for a top tight end. Most tight ends that have faced Houston have done well so it's worth a shot here.
Defense - Oakland $2100 vs Seattle
Seattle has been pretty good for giving up sacks and turnovers. They aren't lighting up the scoreboard either. In this price range, Oakland seems like a solid play.
