Thanks for your comment. I try to listen away from equipment as well, oscillating between headphones, living room stereo, and especially car stereo. It never hurts to hear how the mix is translating outside

I like that Dave Pensado quote. Dave is so generous through his channel with all of his tips and insights on mixing. This makes me think of Duke Ellington: "If it sounds good it IS good."
