That is impressive that you were taking 72 clippings at a time for cloning.

Do I comprehend correctly that you were keeping the cuttings in complete darkness for rooting?

I try my best to minimize pathogenic exposure, but admittedly sometimes I use my bare hands when I'm feeling in a hurry. With these cuttings I touched them a little, but I am not too worried about it and feel the chances are high for success.

I also clipped from inner nodal shoots, by way of razor blade flush against the node/stalk, and if close enough it does not expose the "hole" that sucks air, which may produce better results (I hope). Also considering giving them a rooting hormone powder dip after a couple of days to see if that promotes faster rooting.
