Do you know what strain you had growing? By mature do you mean they started budding early or just got really big?

Some people like to grow them in vegetation indoors a little early before putting them outside so they become massively bigger than they would under normal seasonal conditions. I've never grown outdoors but that's probably how I would do it if I ever end up as an outdoor grower as well.
