Thank you owasco@owasco!

I used to write poetry on my blog, but it was years ago.

I think writing and poems may have been how we met actually but my memory is not the best with a lot of things either, and we do a lot on the internet so it's understandable that you may not remember.

Everything in this poem is metaphorical, and the way my poetry comes is like I'm in a trance, an autonomous form of writing where everything comes out quite fast, and then I go back and do editing/grammar corrections after.

Sometimes I have to figure out the meaning myself and am not always 100% sure.

Through this type of writing I've discovered words that I didn't even know I knew, and will check with an online dictionary to ensure I'm using the word correctly, and 9/10 times I am. That's a little spooky.

The broken pot I attribute to family, and the person shedding tears is not empathetically crying for family, but for herself.

Thrice were the fragments of glass at her feet.

This one I had to think about for a while to really figure out what its meaning is.

For my interpretation to what it means for me in this poem, it's betrayal.

Three major betrayals, essentially having to do with family.

The broken mirrors, (glass at her feet) not seeing her own reflection.

No empathy, narcissistic psychopathy and lack of self awareness.
