Some things never change much.
It must be a somewhat strange feeling to come back to your home town after those years and see that not much has really changed, while still recognizing so many faces.
The more I progress in life, the more apparent it becomes that most people never really change much.
Even our own progressions and transformations, are they noticeable to others? Some will notice changes outside of themselves, some will not. Some will only see the bad, some will mostly see the good.
Life is like this strange lens where we observe the world around us and interpret it our own way(s), and it seems sometimes the only things we can really change is our perception to this world around us.
I still have no good friends here. Not a single person has mentioned New Year’s Eve to me. It looks like I’ll be spending this New Year’s Eve home alone too.
I say these same exact words with every single holiday that passes me by.
I gave up on trying to be invited to holiday gatherings, or even creating my own. No one ever seems to be receptive.
I bet if I grabbed a bunch of liquor and cocaine I could create a giant holiday gathering where I would have more friends than I would know what to do with.
I'm past that level of partying in my life though.
Instead I should create a giant cannabis garden and find a bunch of women on dating sites and invite them over for a puff puff pass party every year.
Drugs are the answer!
There's never any telling where futuremind's comments will go is there ;D
I hope your New Year's eve will turn out to be filled with some kind of company and good holiday vibes my friend.
