You've very much taken 3D printing to the next level and I think you are one of the most talented artistic engineers around.

how would you have dealt with such a big order?

I would make sure I have all of the necessary materials first and foremost. As with many orders, sometimes we have to figure things out as we go. I can say with confidence that a job like this I would turn down because of the complexity, material, and time involved, but for me it is more of a hobby trade.
This speaks volumes for your level of expertise and dedication to the trade.
