Sounds like a good perspective to me.
I've not ruled out light intensity and heat as a factor with my issues too.
What I notice with yours like with mine, is the bud formation is healthy. That is the most important aspect of course.
I've been experimenting around trying to narrow it down.
I think some genetics are just more prone to yellowing and leaf drop too.
