That's a pretty cool resort with a nice amount of heritage built into it. I would have considered those to be totem poles as well, but I think I've also heard before that in some traditions they have different meanings as you mentioned.

Fitzsimmons Creek was looking very turbulent by the resort, and I'm wondering if that area is allowed to be fished. Some online sources reflect it's a pretty popular creek for trout fisherman and I've little doubt there's some monster trout in that creek.
