Hello my friend!
Thank you for this wonderful thought provoking comment here, you really gave me some food for thought!
Prohibition in the 1920's in the USA is an example of how the collective will to partake in consumption of a drug can quickly decide whether or not it will be in society. Prohibition proves this in my mind.
You are right in my opinion that we are seeing a sort of slow prohibition effect occur with cannabis, in that it's a push for normalization , slowly taking out the demonization. I think this is all by design for specific purposes (control over mankind's perception, another topic.)
I would argue that there is a huge difference between chemical based corporate controlled pills and naturally growing plants on the planet. It's amazing how much we collectively view natural medicines as not medicine at all.
Someone today dismissed my medical use of cannabis because it is not "prescribed", and I quickly let her know that I am my own physician and trust my own judgement in taking care of my body. I could take better care of it in some ways and can recognize that, and can also recognize when a self dose of something has a medicinal effect.
The terms of how we view medicine and drugs is pretty amazing, because many people view the recreational components prominently over the medicinal. Cannabis here is mostly viewed as a party drug, and seems the medical industry and media is ensuring to keep the public view as a party drug and not a medicine. Many trippers view drug exploration as exploration of the self, and I agree with this, as a completely different perspective to the social norm perception.
Well if it is a party drug, then is it ok to be both a party drug and medicine at the same time? Can we party and med it up at the same time? I think so!
There is no real difference between the two, only in social recognition or ostracism.
Politicians use it for themselves when they are certain about from where the wind blows, as we know :)
I'm familiar with ostracism yes, and politicians and "blow" in the same sentence certainly goes together :D
