musang luwak is a lactating animal (mammal) which includes civet and garangan (Viverridae). Its scientific name is Paradoxurus hermaphroditus and in Malaysia known as the weasel pulut. This animal is also called by various other names like musang (common name, Betawi), careuh bulan (Sunda), luak or luwak (Java), Musang in Aceh, and common palm civet, common civet, house civet or toddy paint in English.
