When I heard the rumbling of the sky today, I got excited because I knew that rain was coming. It was one of those moments when the weather gives signs before anything actually happens. The wind felt cooler, the sky started to turn dark, and everything around me slowly became quiet, as if nature was preparing for something.
Instead of staying inside, I took it as an opportunity to go out for a quick photo walk. I didn’t want to miss the mood that comes before the rain. There is something special about that kind of atmosphere. It feels calm, dramatic, and a little mysterious at the same time.
The subjects I found were simple, but in black and white they looked more interesting. The mushrooms growing near the tree had a strong contrast against the dark surroundings. Their shapes and textures stood out beautifully, almost like they were glowing in the middle of the shadows.
I also noticed the shell on the grass. It looked still and quiet, surrounded by tiny plants. It reminded me that even small things on the ground can become a beautiful subject when we take time to notice them.
After the rain, the droplets on the petals became another wonderful detail to capture. I always enjoy seeing raindrops because they make ordinary plants look fresh and alive. They don’t stay there for long, so capturing them feels like saving a brief moment before it disappears.
Today’s walk was quick, but it was wonderful. Sometimes a little rain, dark sky, and simple subjects are enough to make photography feel exciting again.
Have a good day ahead.
