I think work is very important, but rest is just as important as well. We cannot keep working all the time without giving ourselves a moment to pause, breathe, and recharge. No matter how motivated we are, our body and mind will eventually ask for rest.
For me, one of the simplest ways to rest is through a morning walk. It may sound ordinary, but walking slowly while looking around already gives me a new kind of energy. It helps me clear my thoughts and feel ready to continue with the day.
During my walk, I took these black-and-white photos of leaves. What caught my attention was the texture, the soft curves, and the contrast between the bright leaves and the dark background. Some leaves looked fresh and smooth, while others had holes and marks on them. Still, they all looked beautiful in their own way.
That is something I appreciate about nature. It does not need to be perfect to be beautiful. Even the small details, the imperfections, and the quiet patterns can become interesting when we take the time to notice them.
Taking these photos reminded me that rest does not always mean doing nothing. Sometimes, rest can be a peaceful walk, a few moments with nature, and the joy of capturing something simple through the lens.
I’m happy to share these photos, and I hope they also remind you to appreciate the blessings of nature.
Have a good day ahead.
