It rained heavily again early this morning, and surprisingly, I didn’t mind it at all. The timing was perfect, it happened before my morning walk. That’s actually the kind of rain I prefer, the kind that leaves the world freshly washed, but doesn’t follow me outside.
After the rain, the garden always looks better. Flowers and plants wear the raindrops like small decorations, each leaf holding tiny beads of light. Even in black and white, those droplets feel alive. They become little highlights against darker tones, and suddenly the whole scene looks more dramatic than it really is.
Another thing I enjoy after a heavy downpour is the water puddles on the road. They don’t last long. If I walk later, the sun and wind will dry them up and the chance is gone. So today felt like a small window of time, I had to catch it while it was still there.
I was lucky because the road had a few deep puddles. Perfect for reflection shots, the kind where the world flips upside down. In black and white, reflections look even more mysterious, like a memory instead of a real place. I took a lot of photos, more than I expected, but only a few turned out the way I wanted. Some were too messy, some didn’t have a clear shape, and some just didn’t feel right.
So I’m only sharing the ones I like the most, the puddles with interesting reflections, and the leaves that look extra fresh with raindrops resting on them.
Moments like this remind me that life can be quietly beautiful, even on rainy mornings.
Have a good day ahead.
