Thankfully, it is already the weekend, so I have some extra time to visit the garden again. The weather has been really hot lately and I can see how much the plants are struggling. Some of the leaves are already dry, some have dark spots, and a few plants are starting to look tired because of the lack of rain.
It makes me feel a bit worried, but at the same time, I still believe that with constant care, the plants will be able to survive until the rainy season comes. Sometimes all they need is a little help, a little patience, and enough attention from us.
Since I had more free time today, I also cleared some of the dried leaves and dried plants around the garden. It feels good to do something useful, even if it is just a simple task. I think taking care of a garden teaches us to be patient and consistent. Growth does not always happen fast, and sometimes we also have to go through dry seasons before things become fresh again.
Of course, the warm weather did not stop me from doing photography. I still brought my camera and looked for interesting subjects. These black and white photos show the texture of the leaves, the dry details, and the contrast between light and shadow. Even when the garden is not at its best, there is still something worth capturing.
I am glad that I was able to make use of my free time in a creative and productive way. A simple walk in the garden can still give me peace, inspiration, and something to share.
