A Little Photography Before the Rain

It has been raining almost every day lately, and I have to admit that it has made my usual walks a little more challenging. I enjoy seeing raindrops resting on leaves because they make wonderful subjects for my photography. However, going outside when the ground is constantly wet is not always pleasant. One thing I really dislike is the mud that sticks to my shoes. I guess that's one of the small inconveniences of spending time outdoors after the rain.

Of course, I don't want to complain too much about it. Rain is important to the plants, and I can see how much the garden benefits from it. The leaves look fresh, the flowers continue to bloom, and even the smallest plants seem to enjoy the moisture. Compared to those benefits, a little mud on my shoes is really nothing serious.

Anyway, I managed to squeeze in a short photography session before the heavy rain arrived. I'm glad I did because I was able to capture a few interesting subjects along the way. The small flowers stood out nicely against the darker foliage, while the leaves offered beautiful textures and patterns.

As usual, I converted these photos to black and white. I particularly enjoyed the contrast between the bright petals and the shadows surrounding them. It's amazing how a simple flower can become such an interesting subject with the right lighting and composition.

Moments like this remind me that I don't always need perfect weather to enjoy my hobby. Sometimes, even a short walk is enough to make me feel productive and happy.

I'm happy to share these photos with you today.

Have a good day ahead!
