It's already late morning when I finally decided to head out to the garden for my usual walk and photography session. I slept quite late last night, which explains why I woke up later than usual today. Although I prefer going for a walk early in the morning, I don't think waking up late should be a reason to skip something that I genuinely enjoy doing.
After all, it's Sunday, and I think it's perfectly fine to take things a little slower sometimes.
As usual, I brought my phone with me to capture some black-and-white photos of nature. I didn't have any particular subject in mind, so I simply walked around the garden and looked for anything that caught my attention.
I came across some interesting leaves with beautiful textures, a small flower, and even a cut tree stem that looked surprisingly artistic. These are ordinary things that people might easily overlook, but through photography, they become interesting subjects worth appreciating.
What I particularly enjoyed about these photos was the contrast between the light and dark areas. The textures of the leaves and the rough surface of the tree stem appeared more pronounced in black and white. Even the tiny flower stood out beautifully against its darker surroundings.
I guess that's one of the reasons why I continue to enjoy photography. It encourages me to appreciate the little things that nature has to offer.
Today's walk also reminded me that we don't always have to follow a strict schedule to enjoy the things we love. Sometimes, starting a little later is better than not starting at all.
