Oh! beloved Earth
Everything you bring forth is beautiful and fruitful
You provide us with food and fruits
Even when all my kind do is destroyed you
You made the air we breathe lively and healthy
Even when all we do is pollute it
You provide spaces for us to walk on
Spaces to build our home to lay our head
When we go about we drop our waste
You send down the rain to clean yourself
When we die, you cover us up and take us back all in.
If only my kind will wake up and be alert
Realize that we have got Only One Earth
We can do better
We should do better
While we are here
Before its too late
We can care more about our beloved Earth
Be conscious of our actions and inactions
Think about our future
And the next generation
When a child is born
We should plant a tree
Before I die
I want to plant as many trees and flowers as I can
When I die
Don't decorate my grave with stones
Plant some flowers
For I want plants to grow and flourish
We can save our Only One Earth
We should give Earth a chance
For in the whole planet we have got Only One Earth
World Environment Day was yesterday, June 5. with the theme Only One Earth, a day set aside by the United Nations since 1972 to create awareness about our environment. somehow this post could not make it out that yesterday, but I'm bringing it out today anyway as my awareness creation for our beloved Earth.
Every June 5, a country is selected to host this campaign, you can be part of this campaign by visiting the official website of world Environment Day or searching for the hashtag #worldenvironmentday, you can as well create awareness about Earth and share it on social media like I just did. You can join any of the protests online to create awareness. And so on.
I came across this Indian man Sadhguru on YouTube and I found him very thoughtful, interesting, and worth to be emulated in some aspect about saving our planet Earth.
He launched a campaign across Europe to simply talk and preach about saving the soil.
We need to think of how we can contribute positively to making the Earth a healthy place for all, through our actions.
Lastly, this Micheal Jackson's Earth song is still so relevant even after many years, we should seat back think, and act.
This is part of my little way to care for our environment. How are you caring for our environment?
Thank you very much for your time, I wish you a great week ahead
