In my previous article I describe the life of the author that how her life is connect with the novel and also the influence of Victorean era now I would like to describe the short summary of the novel so lets move towards it.
The story of the novel revolves around two generations and the protagonist and also the villain of the novel is Heathcliff who was an orphan boy adopted by Mr.Earnshaw who bought him into Wuthering Heights where he spent his childhood by playing on the moors with Mr.Earnshaw children Catherine and Hindley. However Hindley hates him because Mr.Earnshaw gave more importance to Heathcliff as compared to him whereas, Catherine comes to love him and they two grew inseparable but after the death of Mr.Earnshaw Hindley inherits Wuthering Heights and treated Heathcliff very badly like as a labourer.

In this mean time Catherine became closer to Edger Linton who lives in Thrushcross Grange i.e; in the neighbourhood and she decided to marry him instead of Heathcliff because of the difference in the social class of Edger and Linton as Edger belongs to a noble family while Heathcliff is merely an orphan, despite of her overpowering love for Heathcliff she chooses Edger. After that Heathcliff ran away from Wuthering Heights with his broken heart but he came back after few years for the sake of revenge and after the death of Hindley (which occur because after the death of his wife Frances, Hindley became an addict-DRUNKER) Heathcliff inherits Wuthering Heights and marry Isabella who is the sister of Edger in order to place himself in inherithing Thrushcross Grange however he treated Isabella very badly. In the mean time Catherine gives birth to a daughter whose name is also Catherine and dies which make Heathcliff very emotional and he begged to her spirit that haunt him, drive him mad but not to leave him alone and stay on earth etc. On the other side Isabella also give birth to a son whose name is Linton and she dies.

After few year when they both means younger Catherine and Linton grew older there held an encounter between them, in the result they both get romantically involved with each other but later it is revealed that it was all the part of Heathcliff's plan to use his own son in order to claim Thrushcross and his revenge upon Edger by persuasing Catherine. After the death of Edger, Heathcliff imprisoned Catherine in Wuthering Heights and forced him to marry Linton but after that Linton became sick and he dies and Catherine became a servant of the house.
Heathcliff controls both the Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange. After few months Catherine became engaged to Hareton who is the son of Hindley and Frances, as they two live in the same house and Heathcliff became more obssessed with the memory of elder Catherine to the extent that he started talking to her ghost. After the night walk on the moors Heathcliff dies and Catherine married to Hareton and they two inherited Wuthering and Thruscross.

All this story is narrated by Nelly who was an old servant of Wuthering Heights to Lookwood who rented Thrushcross. In the end the author shows that Lookwood is standing between the grave of Heathcliff and elder Catherine.
This whole story revolves around the theme of love and revenge. I dont know how many of you will gonna like this storyline or you can say this novel but I like it.
