Wuthering Heights by Emiley Bronte is one of my favorite novel. Usually it happens when we read a novel we are not concerned about why the writer wrote this particular novel or what happened in his life that inspires him to write this novel.

We just read the novel enjoy it and then close it.

Bronte belongs to Victorian era born in 1818 at Yorkshire and in her writing we found the influence of this era which was the great age of English novel. Why she wrote this particular novel and how it connects with her life lets find out. First of all the word Wuthering describes the noisy winds blow across the moors, now what is moors, moors are actually a beautiful green landscape across the river in the Northern England where Bronte lives. She was a reserved person with very few friends so she spent most of time alone on the moors so the place and the moors are very dare to her and thats why she used the same setting of moors in her only novel Wuthering Heights.

In her fiction she locates the world she knows personally and she makes it more personal by adding her own life, her own childhood and her own life expierences in the novel like most of the charachters in the novel were grew motherless which depicts her own childhood as her mother died when she was 3 years old. Similarly the vast majority of the novel is placed in two households i.e Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange which reflects Bronte's comfort zone as she grew homesick whenever she was away from her home.
We can also see the influence of Victorian era in her novel for e.g the rights of women were restricted by social laws and the class system of victorian era reflects in this novel clearly.

Many people were already read this novel but those who didnt I want to provide them a short summary of the novel but in my next article which will be Wuthering Heights (part2) so wait for it!
