Once upon a time there was an old Chinese woman who had two big bowls hanging from the ends of the pole that she wore over her shoulders. One of the bowls had a small hole, while the other was flawless and always took a full helping of water. However, at the end of the long hike from the river to the old woman's house, the other bowl was always half full. For two years this happened daily: The old woman brought home only one and a half bowl of water. The flawless bowl, of course, was very proud of her achievement, but the poor bowl of the hole was ashamed of its blemish and was distressed that she could do only half of what she had been made for.

After two years of seeming to her like an endless failure, the bowl spoke to the old woman: "I am so ashamed of my leap, from which all the way to your house is always running water." The old woman smiled and spoke: "Did you notice that flowers are blooming on your side of the path, but not on the side of the other bowl?" - "I sowed flower seeds on your side of the path because I was aware of your mistake. Now you pour them every day when we walk home. "" For two years I was able to pick these beautiful flowers and decorate the table with them. If you were not exactly what you are, that beauty would not exist and honor our house.
