I think it's not too practical to try, best to try to get a few months or a years supply. You don't want to be using 50 year old toilet paper in 50 years. You just need enough to last through a supply disruption. If you are diligent you can get things like ammo or TP even in the midst of severe shortages so you just need enough on hand to last you until you until you are lucky to find some. I have a whole closet full of toilet paper and paper towels and it takes up a lot of space but it's really only enough for 6 months or so, a lifetime supply of TP would take up the whole house!
There was a guy on Steemit who actually ate the survival food for an entire month and reported his experiences, it was interesting.
