Whenever I teach the weakest class of the level, I will usually focus on changing the mindset first. I teach Mathematics in school and most students will usually openly declare that they hate Math. I try to build love and confidence in them first as they have already suffered too many failures to believe they will ever do better. The right mindset and determination certainly play a very important part in learning. We can teach with all the possible strategies but students, who do not believe they can learn, will shut their brain to understand and learn.
