In 2007, Crish and Cruz came to Singapore with their parents from Philippines.
The need to integrate themselves to a new land and culture can be challenging especially losing all their friends at their hometown.
There is always a part in them that want Singaporeans to recognise them as Singaporeans even though they are not born locally.
Education system in Singapore is very competitive and homework is something really common.
Staying back for extra lessons by school teachers to remediate academic subjects is very common here too.
It can be really stressful as a student in Singapore.
The younger generation may be really sarcastic and use nasty words as a way to bond and get closer.
This can really be a culture shock if one does not know the culture of the younger generation and it may be taken as an insult.
Living in a new country can never be easy but the willingness to adapt and accept changes can enable one to merge into the new society.
