I was crossing the pedestrian crossing today.
Someone stepped on the back of my shoe and I naturally turned to see who had stepped on my shoe.
The man scolded me that I was not walking straight and he was trying to dodge me for some time.
He scolded me an idiot after that.
I did not scold him for stepping on my shoe and walked away even after being scolded as an idiot.
I really did not know that I was not walking straight especially I was not drunk.
I guess when something like this happen even without my students around, it is the right thing to do by not getting into an argument.
I would often reprimand kids for getting into an argument or a fight so I should not do it myself but I do feel that I was unfairly treated by the man who scolded me when he was in the wrong.
Bible did tell us to seek peace instead of strife.
I guess it is the right thing to do regardless of whether I am in the right or wrong by not getting into an argument or fight especially I am an educator.
My wife also reminded me that the incident happened near my school so it would probably be bad for my reputation if something does happen because I reacted to the rude man.
This post is just to pour out a bit of my anger over what had happened.
