Traveling with train or plane is always an adventure. We luckily never missed flights, but did have our share of lost lugage. Concerning train rides, it feels that these are easier cancelled then flights. Last year, my wife had to go to England and an hour before departure, Eurostar just cancelled the ride. No possibilities to rebook for the same day.
On another level, I do communte twice a week by train to Brussels, and unfortunately, I had cancelled trains, trains arriving at the wrong destination, hour long delays, etc...
