Tolerance does not necessitate my acceptance of your "truth"

Well said!!

Forcing people (children even!) to go along with things, or to have to accept everything... is not tolerance!!!

"hmm I'd rather not be involved; you do you" = tolerant

"you must go to this class and pretend to agree with it" = intolerant

😛

Amazing how backwards they are.

In fact, often the only way to truly love another person is to express disagreement with your lifestyle. Imagine a friend who disapproves with his friend's terrible diet, they might be heard saying: "I think you should be careful", and "I am concerned about you". Or a child might desire ice cream for dinner, but a loving parent says this is not good for you.

Right! Being allowed to disagree saves us from making mistakes. Disagreement is love.

Is modern PC culture intolerant?

IMO, absolutely. It's like the essence of intolerance.

It's classic projection.. they talk so much about tolerance, because they're intolerant.

It isn't intolerance against a lifestyle or a race or anything. For the most part, that stuff has passed. The form of intolerance that has life today is these people who are intolerant about what thoughts and beliefs other people have.

So, in closing I'd just like to say, I am able to respect you while at the same time holding a disagreement with your belief, can you? And if not, who is the intolerant one?

boom! yup
