Hello dear readers!
Artificial intelligence has had a significant advance in recent years, 2018 being the year where it was the biggest rebound, where it became known with more force. In 2018, the AI was the protagonist in many media, television magazines, news and the Internet, showing concrete projects, innovations and projects for future development.
The fields in which artificial intelligence is developing are diverse and some of these developments are revolutionizing some areas of our society.
As I mentioned earlier there are innovations that are already being implemented and that promise to change some aspects of activities that we normally develop and today I want to bring you some examples:
One of the innovations that promises to revolutionize the future of shopping is the payment for facial recognition, a system implemented by Amazon in its Amazon Go store, a store where the customer enters and can choose their purchases while the system through facial recognition is loading the cost of the products automatically to your account, without having to go through a cashier or queue.
This idea was also implemented by the BBV in Spain for payments at its agency in Madrid, a system that is already changing the experience when making purchases.

It is a 10-minute test to detect the presence of prostate cancer. It was developed by scientists from the National University of Science and Technology in Moscow. By means of an immunochromatographic test it allows to visually detect the number of the prostate specific antigen (PSA) in the blood serum. By increasing the chances of detection at an early stage, you can save many lives.
There are also developments for military use, right now there are people talking about killing machines, super soldiers as if it were a fiction movie.
Recently the news of the attack on oil facilities in Saudi Arabia was going around the world, the attack was allegedly carried out using armed drones. As for all the military advances based on AI and robotics technology that are being developed today, the drones are the ones that have achieved the greatest success and are the most used today.
It is expected that by 2050 the advances in artificial intelligence that are underway, that are being applied successfully in all the aforementioned areas. Undoubtedly, the development of AI will result in well-being and facilitate some tasks, seeking to make our lives easier.
At the same time there are fears regarding the military use of artificial intelligence, not only for the drones used in attacks, but also for the killing machines that are being developed right now and that pose a great risk if they fall into the wrong hands .
With all this progress and expectations created by artificial intelligence, I wonder Did AI escape one day from the hands? How autonomous can the machines become, disobeying their original program?
Let me know your opinion, Do you think the machines will set the standards for us one day and submit to them? Do we have absolute control over these projects?
