The Signal From Tölva is described by the developers as "a single-player, first-person, combat and exploration game", and I can't think of a better way to describe it. It was developed by Big Robot, the team behind another cool game called Sir, You Are Being Hunted, which is also worth checking out. One of the things I like the most about both games is the sound design, particularly the robots' "voices". At around the 2:30 mark in this video, you'll see me double back and walk towards my hacked companions for no apparent reason, I was trying to catch some of the sounds they make. It kinda worked. There's also a part where I do a signal scan, even though I've been through the area and know there's nothing there... I like the sound that makes too. You'll see the colors change, and then there's this cool distorted hum.
The game itself is fun too, though I would mention that it may not be action-packed enough for some. There is a fair amount of shooting, but there's also a lot of walking. The scenery is pretty cool though, so I like the fact that there's some time to enjoy it rather than being constantly under fire.
Apparently my PC doesn't quite have the oomph to handle the graphics at the settings I was running while recording a video, so I sucked a little worse than usual due to lag. Not that I'm very good without it either.
