Time is flying. The timing of the Halloween decorations didn’t really surprise me this year but I know that close to the end of October, Christmas decorations will be up. That always makes me feel a bit rushed and sometimes I really have to double check the date. Lol!
You know now that you’ve mentioned it, it sounds so familiar. Lol!!! Oh my! I remember being told not to eat them for the same reason. Haha! I guess kids especially would be drawn to the red berries and could easily pick and try to eat them. I probably walked far from them because I didn’t want to be poisoned. 😂
Now I’m wondering what they actually did with the berries. Did they just let them fall? I must ask some family members.
I made it to the Blue Mountains just once. The hike was in December. It was cold. We were told to make sure we wore sweaters. I can’t remember what exactly I wore but whatever it was ( lack of experience), it made me hot and uncomfortable during the hike. My bag was tightly strapped so it was hard to stop to layer down and keep up with the other hikers. I spent a lot of time just trying to keep up. I didn’t hear about the snakes but maybe winter was too cold for them to show up. I remember we tried hard to make a pot of tea. It took a long time to actually make the fire and as soon as the pot was opened, everything went cold. Lol! Now that I understand what it really means to be “cold” I wonder what re-living the experience would be like. 😂🤣Even now I’m not too keen on hikes unless I understand the route. Mini-hikes are fine. A walk, I’ll gladly do. Lol
If you get the chance to go there, “walk good”. Lol! I enjoyed crossing the rivers though the water was cold.

Re the coffee for sweet potato 🍠, sometimes I’m not totally sure about the translations either. In autumn though, baked sweet potatoes are popular snacks. They are really good and can be bought at the supermarket or even as street food. I think it means that that particular coffee pairs well with baked sweet potatoes. Let’s hope it’s not just a marketing strategy to get those packets of coffee and pieces of potato and caramel cake sold during the potato season. Lol!
